This week we began to sort living and nonliving things. Scholars learned all living things need a place to live, water, food, and air. Living things can also grow, move, and reproduce. The class went out to our Learning Garden in search of some examples. Many students found flowers, leaves, rocks, dirt, and wood to sort and tape into their science notebooks. We used our findings to make a new bulletin board!
We then compared an earthworm to a gummy worm! We made observations and could definitely see a difference between living and nonliving! Some of our earthworms crawled right off our plate! After our observations we headed back out to the garden to release our new worm friends!
